Paul M. Aloise Jr., Esq., joins Rubin & Rubin as a Shareholder in 2024, after working as a trial attorney at a prominent Tallahassee firm practicing both Civil Law and Criminal Defense, for the past 4 years. Prior to his work in the private sector, Paul honed his skills as a trial attorney while working as a felony prosecutor in the 2nd and 15th Judicial Circuits of Florida for over three years. Paul has taken over 50 cases to trial and has had jury trial victories in four different Circuits (2nd, 14th, 15th, and 19th). In 2022, Paul was lead counsel for a False Arrest/ False Imprisonment Civil Jury Trial against the Leon County Sheriff’s Office in which a verdict was rendered in his client's favor for over $250,000. This verdict earned a spot on the 2023 Top 100 Jury Verdicts for Civil Rights in the United States for 2022, by TopVerdicts.com. Paul has perennially been recognized as a Super Lawyer's Florida Rising Star along with being named a National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 for Criminal Defense.

Paul focuses his practice in the areas of Criminal Defense, and Civil Litigation, with an emphasis on Personal Injury, Breach of Contract, Sexual Assault, Sexual Harassment, Negligent Security, Wrongful Termination, Racial and Disability Discrimination, Civil Injunctions (Restraining Orders), and Sports & Entertainment Law.

In the field of Sports and Entertainment Law, Paul has worked with NFL Hall of Famers, Grammy Nominated Producers, Platinum Selling Musical Artists, Netflix Stars, and multiple Social Media Influencers with over 1 million followers on Instagram. In addition to working as an attorney, Paul worked as an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor (NFL agent) from 2018-2024. During this time, Paul negotiated 27 NFL contracts with 13 different NFL teams and helped his NFL clients, successfully appeal multiple on-field fines, negotiate injury settlements with collective bargaining benefits, negotiate marketing and endorsement deals, and help them negotiate contracts in alternative professional football leagues such as the CFL, XFL, USFL, UFL, and IFL.

In addition to working as both an attorney and NFL agent, Paul has worked as an Adjunct Professor and Trial Team coach at The Florida State University College of Law. Paul has taught a Trial Practice course, and a course that he created, titled “Sports Agency, NCAA, & NIL Marketing.” His time as a Trial Team coach saw him reach the Finals in the “In Vino Veritas GCU Prof. Bernie L. Segal National Criminal Mock Trial Competition” at Golden Gate University School of Law, where his team members won ‘Best Overall Advocate’, ‘Best Direct’, and ‘Best Close’ awards, reach the Quarter Finals in the “John L. Costello Competition National Criminal Law Trial Advocacy Competition” at George Mason University School of Law, and have one of his team members win ‘Best Advocate’ award at the “Battle of the Experts National Mock Trial Competition” at Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law.

Paul was born in Massachusetts, but grew up primarily in Palm City, Florida. After graduating from Martin County high school in 2010, Paul attended Florida State University where he graduated Cum Laude with degrees in Criminology and Sport Management. In addition to his undergraduate studies, Paul played linebacker for the FSU football team and was a member of the 2013 BCS National Championship team. Paul then went on to earn his Juris Doctorate at The Florida State University College of Law, where he excelled as a member of their Trial Team, bringing home the 2015 Wayne Hogan Championship. Paul’s parents, Paul and Ellen Aloise, have lived in Martin County for 25 years, and his younger brother, Daniel M. Aloise, M.D., is in the Emergency Medicine residency program or Mount Sinai Medical Center, in Miami Beach, FL.
